Stop Censorship Now

It is a secret. So, naturally, everyone knows.

Crap, how do you do these introduction things?

Can I just spell my name with my butt?

Alright, well, my name is Sydney and I am a particularly outspoken Jew involved in both NFTY and BBYO! I'm from New York, but I no longer live there, much to my dismay. I enjoy reading the most. Proper grammar makes me excited, and character development is the best. Tea and coffee are my two favorite things. Oh, and my largest aspiration is to have the most deep-set crows feet possible, because that'll mean I laughed a lot.

Douchebag Tarrlok (to the tune of Icky Vicky)

T-A-RRLOK
The sound of his name makes the non-benders say

Just the thought of you in charge makes me wanna puke

Hey Tarrlok won’t you please explain
Why you get so much enjoyment out of causing people pain

OH OH OH

A dude who just plain sucks
Hated by turtle-ducks
He’s a power hungry asshole in Water Tribe clothes
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

*instrumental (don’t judge)*

Hey Tarrlok won’t you tell me true
How anyone would ever give power to you

Oh Tarrlok can we say one thing
It’s the super total douchebagness that makes me wanna FUCK UP YOUR FACE

*cough*

Douchebag Tarrlok (OH OH)
Douchebag Tarrlok (OH OH)

Am I kicked out of the fandom yet?

Like any astute rapper or lyricist, Laryssa knows an opportunity to break some shit down when she sees one. And I, for one, am grateful, since her sanctimonious insights just make my job that much easier. Even David, a friend of Laryssa’s, calls bullshit on her rant and isn’t afraid to add…

oh my god

Putting aside the blatant assholery, this idiot is also assuming that everyone who is childless is childless by choice and that sometimes your inane babbling about what color Baby Jayden or Baby Nevaeh’s shit was today can actually be something that unwittingly makes people feel like, well, baby shit.  Oh, and a “humanitarian”?  Bitch, please.  My dad contributed his genetic material to two kids, and still managed to be selfish as hell the whole time.  Don’t flatter yourself.

Submission #116

When Tony’s educating Steve about modern day culture, he is very careful to let Steve form his own opinions on gay rights. Steve nods, his face blank, and asks a few questions.

A few days later he knocks on Tony’s door and Tony opens it and is surprised to see a tiny girl next to Steve, a teenager, with short hair, red eyes, and bruises on her arms. Tony’s look is a question and Steve explains that the girl was kicked out of her home and abused because she wouldn’t break up with her girlfriend. Steve asks if she can stay with them for a while.

Tony says yes, and later, after the girl has showered (for the first time in weeks, but she won’t tell them that) and been fed and is tentatively talking to Natasha (who has murder and protection written into her face) Tony quietly asks Steve why.

“I don’t like bullies.”

Asami Sato is dangerous.

koronov:

She’s dangerous to Amon, his militia and to his regime.

Why? Because of who she is.

Consider her identity to the people of Republic City, the daughter of a wealthy engineer/inventor and heiress to her father’s fortune and company. Whilst her father, Hiroshi was aligned with Amon and the Equalists, she is not. In fact, she rejected her father’s views (something that must’ve been incredibly hard for her, as he was her only family and her role model) and instead sided with the Avatar because she believes it is the right thing to do.

She is a role-model to other non-benders, her actions show that there are better ways of dealing with the inequality, and that the Equalists have much more insidious plans.

She’s been shown to be level-headed, calm, intelligent and driven. In the moments that follow after the revelation that her father is aligned with Amon, she rejects him and turns his technology against him, and against Amon’s General, defeating him - something that Korra and the other benders struggled to do. (She’s also a pretty great driver too).

In the latest episode, “When Extremes Meet”, she directs the rest of Team Avatar in their pursuit of the chi-blockers. She maintains a calm demeanour and for this reason is the best stabilizer and counter-balance for Korra’s fiery temper and rashness.

She’s dangerous to Amon for more than just be a role model for other non-benders, she’s a capable fighter and a combat pragmatist. She disabled two chi-blockers (with the aid of the rest of the team) with one of the shock gloves, and has been shown to be able to fight on par with strong chi-blockers (the General).

Consider this: when a bender is disabled by chi-blocking, their combat ability is greatly reduced. They rely too much on bending and so when it is taken from them, they are quickly overwhelmed. Asami (and other non-bending fighters) on the other hand, suffer a less dramatic decrease in ability.

Her status in Republic City, her combat training (and father’s technology) combined with her keen intellect, drive and calm demeanour make her a dangerous adversary, and a great ally to Team Avatar.
